Kitchen Staff (Back of House)

Join our team at Riviera Events & Catering as a Kitchen Staff member, where you'll play a key role in preparing high-quality meals for weddings, corporate events, and private celebrations. In this role, you'll work behind the scenes to ensure every dish is prepared with care, consistency, and attention to detail—helping create memorable experiences for every guest.
Key Responsibilities
Food Preparation & Production
Assist in preparing high-quality meals for weddings, corporate events, and private gatherings.
Follow recipes, portion guidelines, and food presentation standards.
Prepare ingredients by washing, chopping, measuring, and organizing items for efficient service.
Kitchen Operations
Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen throughout food preparation and service.
Assist with packaging and loading food for off-site catered events.
Communicate effectively with the kitchen team to ensure orders are completed accurately and on schedule.
Food Safety & Sanitation
Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health department regulations.
Properly clean and sanitize workstations, equipment, utensils, and food preparation areas.
Monitor food quality and report any concerns to kitchen leadership.
Clean-Up & Closing
Wash dishes, cookware, and kitchen equipment as needed.
Assist with kitchen closing duties, including cleaning, organizing, and restocking supplies.
Help maintain a safe and orderly work environment before, during, and after each shift.
Necessary Requirements
Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented kitchen environment.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to food quality.
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as event schedules require.
Previous kitchen or food service experience is preferred but not required—training provided.
